Headquarters (Festung Kommando)
Command over the Festung (fortress) was spread over two locations, both in the forest known as Staelduinse Bos. The Festungkommandant (fortress commander) was headquartered in Stützpunkt (support point) XIX. The commander of all forces north of the estuary was headquartered in the nearby Widerstandsnest 35.
